Review: Bauli Croissants for Easter! #minicroissants

I absolutely love making Easter baskets. (As noted in last year’s Angry Bird theme!) I especially love hunting around for the very best things to include to make the goodies inside extra special. I recently discovered Bauli croissants and hoped they would taste as great as they looked in the package. After downing quite a few (for taste-testing purposes, of course), I decided they easily made the cut for this year’s Easter baskets.

I went with the mini croissants. So what did I like about them? First off, the filling inside is smooth and delicious. I was happy to see that that they make them using a "mother dough." This means water and flour are progressively added to this nucleus to create a croissant dough with natural yeast instead of chemical additives, which allows the dough to rise naturally. They also stay fresh for much longer than most bread or cakes, without any added preservatives. It makes me feel a little better about loading up the baskets with sweet treats!

In our house, chocolate is always the pick, However, they also offer vanilla custard and cherry jelly filling. Even though I’m using these for Easter baskets, I can tell you that they will be making their way to our kitchen cabinets as quick snacks to toss in lunchboxes and road trip coolers. The packaging makes it really convenient for these kinds of things.
