A long weekend and gorgeous seventy-nine degree weather seem like the perfect set-up for a Sangria Sunday and some "me-time". What could be better than picking up a Pamper Me Package from Yellow Tail? Although I often like to make my own sangria, Yellow Tail makes their own, which couldn't make things any easier! I stuck the Yellow Tail Sangria in the refrigerator last night, so that it would be nice and chilled for my day of relaxation.
I started my Sangria Sunday off by making a delicious Honey and Quinoa Salad to enjoy with my Yellow Tail Sangria. Then I settled on the deck with my salad, my sangria, and my book. As first impressions go, the Yellow Tail Sangria was a very pleasant surprise. I really like the level of sweetness they've achieved-vibrant citrus flavors without being too sweet. There are definite orange and berry notes that come through right away, but the after-taste is a kick of citrus. Often times restaurant sangria ends up with fruit overkill, which ruins it for me. I really like the idea of tailoring this sangria to your own tastes. It's delicious as is, but it's also easy to dress up with the fruit of your choice-especially for parties. My Sangria Sunday gave me the relaxation I was looking for and later my husband joined me for a glass as well!

Avocado Facial Mask
Ingredients:
1 avocado, peeled and seeded
2 tsp sweet almond oil or virgin olive oil
Directions
Mash avocado and add oil. Apply mixture to face and leave on 15-20 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry with towel.
Happy Hand Exfoliant
Ingredients:
1 oz ground almonds
1 tsp clear honey
2 tsp walnut or sunflower oil
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together into a thick paste. Rub a heaping teaspoon all over the hands for two to three minutes and rinse off. Use whenever your hands need some extra TLC.
Homemade Rosemary and Peppermint Foot Scrub
Ingredients:
1/4 cup Kosher Salt
1 tbsp table salt
1 tsp coconut oil
1 tbsp olive oil
3 drops peppermint oil
1/2 tsp rosemary
Directions:
Mix ingredients in a cup or bowl and blend together. If it's too dry, add a bit more oil. If it's too wet, add more salt.
Homemade Lip Balm
Ingredients:
3 tsp grated unbleached beeswax
5 tsp carrier oil (sunflower, castor, or jojoba)
6 or 7 drops essential oil
1 tsp honey, for flavor
Directions: Melt the beeswax and carrier oil together in the top of a double boiler, stirring to combine. Remove from heat; add honey and essential oil. Mix thoroughly so the honey does not clump. To add a little color, stir in a tiny dab of lip stick with a coffee stirrer. Pour the mixture into containers; let sit for 20 minutes before covering or moving. For glossier lip balm, use 2 teaspoons wax and 8 teaspoons carrier oil.
