About the Show
“Eleanor’s Bench” is a touching show that shines a light on the juvenile justice system in an informative en enlightening way. Moms, this new show is full of important lessons about following God’s calling, practicing self control, learning from your past and discovering that we are enough and deserving of God’s love. It is a powerful reminder that we’re all equal in God’s eyes.

I had the privilege of a sneak peek of Episode Four and can't say enough good things about it! There are a lot of twists and turns and so much to unpack. In this episode, Eleanor begins to make questionable moves and waits outside Drayvon’s foster parent house. She is about to visit Jewels in jail and suffers a panic attack when she flashes back to Natasha’s death. Jewels refuses to see Eleanor. Eleanor finally tells Heather about her past and the promise she made to Natasha to care for Jewels and how she failed to do it. She has moved back into her childhood home to help her father and brings Isaac to church and sees Reggie walking with two gangsters. Isaac agrees to start cancer treatment and is open to hosting Thanksgiving. Eleanor attends a trauma class and continues to pursue fostering Drayvon. Drayvon visits Jewels in prison and has to face hard truths about his new circumstances. Drayvon runs away from the foster care. Eleanor asks Isaac and Reggie for parenting advice on raising preteen boys. Eleanor hosts Thanksgiving for Isaac, Heather and Reggie. Apollo, despite being asked, does not attend.

Episode four themes include:
  • Letting go of the past, identifying triggers and remaining calm

  • How trauma can surface as uncommon and irrational behavior

You'll definitely want to sit down and watch this with your family!
