Christmas time is here! Time to curl up and enjoy the holiday movies. This year, Pure Flix has over 190 movies to inspire and encourage the whole family. You can experience the difference that positive entertainment can have. As an ambassador for this Christian streaming service, I can tell you that it's the number one place to find quality Christian television shows and movies that you'll enjoy watching with your whole family. They offer both adult series and children's programming, like the beloved Veggie Tales. With new quality faith and family entertainment every week, celebrate Christmas with Pure Flix and be inspired and encouraged all season long.

I was able to preview the movie "Lifemark", which is based on a true story from the documentary “I Lived on Parker Avenue.” David, the adopted son of Jimmy and Susan, is celebrating his 18th birthday, senior year of high school and preparing for his upcoming state wrestling championship where college scouts will be watching. David’s birth mother updates her address and his family needs to decide if they want to make contact or not. Flashbacks show Jimmy and Susan processing the death of their two young sons while trying to adopt another child. Flashbacks show Melissa and her boyfriend Brian making the decision to put their child up for adoption.

About the Show
David’s comfortable world is turned upside down when his birthmother unexpectedly reaches out to him, longing to meet the 18-year-old son she’s only held once. With the encouragement of his adoptive parents, David embarks on a journey of discovery that leads to a staggering truth from his past.

My Thoughts
This movie tells the story of a young couple's difficult decision-making when they find themselves pregnant as teenagers. The fact that it's based on a true story makes it that much more interesting and heartwarming to watch. Adoption situations vary so much, it's nice to see more films being made about this topic. David is truly blessed to have such a beautiful and ideal adoption story. While it is not the experience that our family has had with adoption, we would love for it to have been so.
