A Little Peak into Episode 2

I'm really excited to share that this episode features Sharva Maynard and Tom Skerritt. I'm a huge Tom Skerritt fan, so this was an especially welcome surprise.

  • Flashback to when Charley was a teenager and was with her grandmother when she passed.

  • Betty and Vance - an elderly couple. Betty is dying and Vance is having issues with his memory.

  • Katherine fired the at-home hospice nurse and pressure mounts on Charley to help Katherine.

  • Janey experiences a difficult family and learns how to manage tension.

  • Charley’s conversation with God, she thanks God for getting the chance to meet Betty and Vance and prays for his protection. Charley accepts that God’s plan is for her to help Katherine and asks for Him to soften her heart.

The themes that run through this episode are strong ones—miscarriage, alcoholism and dementia. You'll see true support and care in relationships, failures, and what makes a good foundation for biblical marriage.

You'll likely connect with these Bible Verses throughout the show. The last one is especially helpful to me:

  • When calamity comes, the wicked are brought down, but even in death the righteous seek refuge in God. – Proverbs 14:32 (NIV)

  • For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. – 2 Timothy 1:7 (NIV)

  • Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. – Philippians 2:1-4 (NIV)

I imagine you'll be just as intrigued as I am to finish the series once you've watched episodes 1 and 2. I'd love to hear your thoughts on Instagram!
