One of our favorite gelato brands, Ciao Bella, has partnered with Diageo to create a super decadent new flavor — Bailey's Sea Salt Caramel Gelato! They've taken the creamy, silky sweet taste of Baileys® Original Irish Cream Liqueur and combined it with the the savory taste of sea salt caramel that is packed with a rich, distinct flavor like no other gelato we've had before. It takes us back to living in Europe and taking the evening stroll down main street to the gelato shop. The gelato is nice and soft, so it's easy to scoop out of the container. A half cup of this flavor contains 190 calories.
The Flavor
Those of you who enjoy Bailey's signature Irish Cream and whiskey flavor will definitely feel satisfied with the way the flavor comes through in this dessert. In fact, you can smell the Bailey's before you even give it a taste. Since the sea salt caramel is also a very strong, distinct taste, it balances the Bailey's really nicely.
