Recipe: Miami Street-Style Turkey Tacos for Cinco de Mayo! #healthyrecipe #JENNIEO

It's a countdown to Cinco de Mayo and we're ready to celebrate with an awesome Mexican recipe! (Of course, it's healthy, too!) Many of you know that we're big JENNIE-O turkey fans and began substituting it for red meat a while back. They have really flavorful recipes that don't make the switch to turkey a sacrifice. For Cinco de Mayo, we're making Miami Street-Style Turkey Tacos. They're incredibly easy to make and take less than 30 minutes to prep and cook. Check out the recipe below to include in your Cinco de Mayo festivities as well!

  • 1 (16-ounce) package JENNIE-O® Lean Taco Seasoned Ground Turkey
  • 3 cups shredded Napa cabbage
  • 1 mango, peeled and cut into thin strips
  • ½ red bell pepper, cut into strips
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 8 soft taco shells

  1. Cook turkey as specified on the package. Always cook to well done, 165°F as measured by a meat thermometer. 
  2. Combine cabbage, mango, red bell pepper, cilantro, lime juice, olive oil and salt in a medium bowl. 
  3. Spoon ground turkey mixture into taco shells. 
  4. Top with slaw mixture.
  5. Enjoy!
