Dining Out: Brio Tuscan Grille's Flavorful Features Menu #limitedtime #Brio #wine&dine #seasonal

I can't think of a better way to begin the New Year than with Brio Tuscan Grille's new Flavorful Features seasonal menu. This three course journey begins with unique, hearty dishes and finishes with absolutely decadent desserts that were impossible for us to resist. Available now through February 28th, you're definitely going to want to experience this limited time menu for yourselves. In fact, I've already dropped a not-so-subtle hint that I'd be over the moon about a romantic Valentine's Day dinner at Brio, to give the rest of the dishes a sample, too!

This was our first visit to the Brio Tuscan Grille in Orlando's Winter Park location. (If you're in the area, ask for Cameron as your server. He was fantastic!) We began the meal with freshly baked bread and rosemary flatbread, along side butter and an delicious sun dried tomato dipping oil that we couldn't get enough of. The bread is delicious, but I caution you to pace yourself because you're going to want to make it all the way through to dessert.

After asking if we had any food restrictions, our server offered to surprise us with the three course menu choices he felt we would like best. I loved this idea of letting him create our meal experience for us. He even paired a small wine tasting with each course.

Let's Start with the Appetizers...
The Flavorful Features appetizer is the Burrata and Proscuitto Bruschetta, which is made with red peppers, sea salt, mayonnaise, black pepper and EVOO. It's a unique twist on the basic bruschetta I'm accustomed to.

If you'd like to add a few more appetizers to your table, we suggest the beef carpaccio or the spicy shrimp and eggplant. They aren't on the Flavorful Features menu, but they certainly won't disappoint.

Next, It's On to the Entrees!
If you're dining with a group, I suggest each of you ordering a different entree from the Flavorful Features list and swapping portions for a nice tasting of each. If you're a seafood lover, you have your choice of pan seared sea scallop risotto or crab stuffed shrimp and lobster tail with orzo, farrow and roasted veggies with a lemon butter sauce. Often times I'm disappointed in scallop dishes because I find them to be more of a small plate portion. Not the case at Brio. The portions sizes for every dish that comes out of the kitchen were hearty. The third choice is a personal favorite of mine, chicken saltimbocca. Brio's presentation with provolone, crispy pancetta and fried sage on a bed of squash risotto will have your mouth-watering.

Our server also recommended two other entrees for our table: the grilled salmon fresca with sweet potatoes, asparagus, red peppers and feta cheese, as well as the espresso rubbed ribeye with maple balsamic brussels sprouts.

And Finally...Dessert!
As with any perfect meal, we ended on a sweet note. The Butterscotch Budino, the Flavorful Features seasonal dessert, is a rich pudding topped with caramel, whipped cream and Marconi almonds. I'm crossing my fingers it makes it onto the year round menu.

Our server wanted us to try a decadent dessert trio of creme brûlée, bread pudding and cheesecake. Twist our arms. As full as we were, we soldiered through and finished nearly all of it.

Between the atmosphere, service and menu, we couldn't have been more impressed. Whether you're looking for a romantic evening, a celebration destination, or a relaxing evening out with friends or family, we would highly recommend Brio Tuscan Grille. They certainly offer something for everyone.
