With New Year’s Eve and the Super Bowl just around the corner, we’ve started planning our menu items and have decided to get a little more creative, while still keeping it as simple as possible! Since Super Pretzels were such a hit last year and incredibly easy to make, we wanted to keep the tradition, but jazz it up a bit. A friend of ours made a special request for the cheese filled Super Pretzel Soft Stix. They went so fast last year that we’re going to have to buy quite a few boxes. I wish they sold them in bulk! We plan to pair the Soft Stix with our favorite homemade salsa recipe, as a dip that goes perfectly with these cheese-filled snacks. Check out our recipes below...
I’m also pretty excited about our next menu item. Growing up, pretzel salad was a must at our parties, and it was my FAVORITE dessert. For those of you who aren’t as familiar with the pretzel salad, it’s a layered dish with pretzels on the bottom as the base, a layer or strawberry Jell-o, and a layer of whipped cream. It’s amazing and it inspired us to create a sort of deconstructed pretzel salad dip. We plan to toast a few boxes of the traditional Super Pretzel Soft Pretzels and arrange them around our strawberry whipped cream pretzel dip. (Placing team color napkins under the pretzels makes it even more festive.) It’s so easy to make and my official taste-testers give it two thumbs up! Check out the dip recipe below:
- 8 ounces of cream cheese
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 8 ounces whipped topping
- 1 cup strawberry pie filling
- Beat the cream cheese and sugar in a mixer until smooth.
- Fold in the whipped topping.
- Stir in strawberry pie filling
- Place in refrigerator to chill at least 1 hour before serving.
- Serve and enjoy!
