Holiday Gift Guide: Crayola Beadola Bead Maker #HolidayGiftGuide

This year we have found the perfect girl gift! As soon as we saw the Crayola Beadola Bead Maker, we couldn't wait to post it on our Holiday Gift Guide for 2014. Our 9 year old niece is really into arts and crafts and she loves girly things. Creating her own designer beads is going to really excite her. What I like about this Crayola kit is that it allows her to first create the bead of her choice using a mold or sculpting her own design into the clay and then paint it however she likes. The mold choices vary, from nature and animals to music and travel, even trinkets and favorite foods. Kids love personalized things and it doesn't get much more personalized than this. The kit provides enough clay to make over 90 beads. It's a great art activity that won't be tossed aside as 'finished' in two minutes and a creative way to spend time together. The recommended age for this is 6 years old and up. I can easily see this gift being popular with girls through their early teens, too. I joked with my husband that it's the children's version of Pandora Jewelry, only cooler because kids can make it themselves.

Check out the video that Crayola made to show how this kit works:

The Beadola kit includes: Beadola Bead Maker, 4 Bead Design Plates, 25 gems, 2 bracelet Chains, 180 Grommets, a bead punch, 4 glaze paint pots in glitter, gloss, silver and pink, a paintbrush, 3 packs of air-dry clay, 16 drying spools, an instructions sheet, and a bead story guide.

This product is definitely on our 'Must Have' list for 2014 gift giving. We found it online at Target and Toys R Us, both of which have high reviews (though only a few, as it's a new product). You can also order it directly from the Crayola site.

Check It Out!

  1. My daughter has this on her Christmas list. I was on the fence because her list is so long, but this really does look cool and would let her be creative
