Review: Emjoi Micro-Pedi Nano #DIYpedicure

After a never-ending winter, warm weather is finally here! This weekend was the first time in months that I was able to pull out my sandals and ditch my closed-toe shoes. Of course, wearing sandals requires  a little work to get summer-ready feet! Typically, I spend a fortune on a salon pedicure or hours doing it myself. When I heard about the Emjoi Micro-Pedi Nano, I was so excited to try it!

The Emjoi Micro-Pedi Nano is advertised as a sleek, compact home pedicure tool that quickly, hygenically and painlessly removes hard cracked skin and calluses from the soles of the feet with spa-like results. When I saw the price tag, I couldn't believe it was so reasonable--$24.95 including shipping.

Key Features:
  • Rubberized grip
  • micro mineral roller
  • interchangeable rollers
  • safer and more effective roller action
  • compact, easy to use, and easy to travel with
  • faster and less laborious than other home-based methods
  • American Podiatric Medical Association Seal of Acceptance
  • gently and effectively buffs away dead, calloused, hard and dry skin in seconds
  • ability to use a wide range of specialized attachments for other body parts (sold separately)

My Results:
I found this device really easy to use. It takes two AA batteries which is really convenient for traveling. Since my feet needed more than a little love, I used the Nano for about 10 minutes. It tickled a little initially, but I was really surprised at how quickly I noticed a difference. Typically I use a pumice stone, which never gets my heels totally smooth. The Nano did a stellar job removing my dry skin quickly and leaving the bottoms of my feet looking and feeling incredible. One thing I noticed almost immediately is that you should not press down hard when using the Nano. This caused it to move slowly or stop completely. There's no need to press hard, even if it seems like the natural thing to do at first. Even the lightest amount of pressure creates fantastic results.

My heels are my most difficult part of the foot. After using the Nano, I washed my feet and moisturized them with lotion. They definitely had a salon feel afterward. I plan to use the Nano on my heels again in a few days to keep up with my summer-ready feet. I don't expect to use it for more than about 3 minutes or so now that I've done the initial work the first time. The results were really better than I anticipated, especially for the price point!
