We tried five different flavors: Lemonade, Coconut, and Pink Grapefruit, along with two cocktail mixers-Margarita and Cosmopolitan, which Cascade Ice sent as a surprise.
Before we tried them, we wanted to know a little more about them. Apparently Cascade Ice sparkling waters have no sugar, no caffeine, no sodium, no gluten, and no carbs. That's exactly what we want to see when we're drinking water! Now, on to the flavors..
Both the Lemonade and Pink Grapefruit flavors were just as sweet as I like my drinks to be. If I had to choose, the Lemonade would be my favorite, hands down. My husband found the Pink Grapefruit to be a little too sweet for an entire glass, but liked it in smaller portions. The Coconut flavor is interesting. The idea of coconut water was a little strange to me, but for something different, I actually liked it. I think it would be the kind of thing I would want to drink really cold on a hot day at the pool or beach.
We weren't expecting to receive cocktail mixers, but were happy to try them. Cascade Ice even sent suggested recipes. We like the idea of making a margarita or cosmopolitan with mixers that are already sugar free, among other things. These mixers gave us an excuse to invite a few friends over and experiment. We paired the cosmo with skinnny vodka to cut calories even further. Everyone agreed it was delicious! My husband handled the margarita making and while we couldn't find a "skinny" tequila, we were happy to know the mixer was already a help. We had our friends vote between the two drinks and margarita was the winner by smidge. It made for a fun night!
