Cat and the Hat Christmas Movie

Our family loves all things Dr. Seuss. Cat in the Hat has always been a particular favorite of mine and I was really excited when I found out that they made a Christmas movie with him. It's called The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About Christmas! and it's a little under an hour long.

The movie takes us on a journey with the Cat in the Hat (voice by Martin Short), Nick and Sally all around the world. They're mission is to help a lost reindeer find his way home to Freezeyourknees Snowland in time for Christmas. Of course they travel in Thingamajigger, which breaks down, leaving them to a variety of animals with amazing abilities to help them return home again. I don't want to spoil this movie by giving away too much of what happens, but we all really enjoyed it as a family. They definitely included a lot of the Dr. Seuss type humor that we love and you can rely on it to be an appropriately child-friendly holiday movie as well. It's a great choice for a children's gift or something to add to the family collection.

Find it at a local retailer near you such as Target, Walmart, Kmart, and Toys R Us, or order on Amazon!

The Lorax is mine and my granddaughters favorite :)

  2. How the Grinch Stole Christmas!!!

  3. We weren't very happy with the Lorax, actually... we really love how the Grinch Stole christmas. It's really a heartwarming tale!

    1. Didn't like the Lorax? Was it the length? We did think they could have taken out a big chunk of it toward the end, but really liked it overall. The Grinch is a family tradition in our house, great choice!

  4. I didn't like The Lorax, either. The original How the Grinch Stole Christmas is my hands down all time favorite.

  5. I like the original how the grinch stole Christmas. The new ones are a little too silly and out there for me.

  6. I've always loved The Lorax. The cartoon, the book and I even have a Lorax nightshirt I bought at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure! I have a Lorax pin, also.

  7. I like Horton Hears a Who
