Loaded With Never-Before-Seen Killer Content

My husband is a huge horror movie fan. When we saw the preview for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter he couldn't wait for it to come out. Even though I don't typically go for horror movies like he does, I gave this one a try. We were surprised to find that it was just as much an action film as it was a horror film. It doesn't take itself too seriously, but it also doesn't go for the comedy angle either. It meshes all the actual historical high points such as Lincoln's marriage to Todd, the death of his son, his ascension to office, and his rivalry with Douglas with the traditional theme you find in vampire movies. Overall it is well made, well acted, and above all, it's fun. I can honestly say we were fully engaged and entertained watching this movie.

LOS ANGELES, CA. (September 12th, 2012) –The election season is about to get a whole lot bloodier as a historical legend throws his hat into the ring in ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER, arriving on Blu-ray(TM)3D, Blu-ray(TM) and DVD October 23 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. 1. I was also surprised by how good the action was in this movie, although it did get a little crazy sometimes. I know that we are already firmly in the realm of fantasy with a vampire fighting Abe, but the action was simply unbelievable at times. That being said it is very entertaining if you don’t try and think about it too much. I skipped this movie in theaters because it just looked ridiculous, but I decided to rent it after a coworker at DISH recommended it to me. I added it to my blockbuster @Home queue online, and it came in the mail today. I am glad that I waited to rent it because it was a lot cheaper than seeing it in theaters, and I don’t think that this is one of those must see movies. I was by no means a bad movie, but it could have been so much more with a little more devotion to the historical part of the movie.
