Halo Oral Anticeptic Spray

I have always been a bit germaphobic, but as someone who has worked with children for 10+ years, my germ phobia has steadily risen. It seemed as though I was sick at least every other month, no matter how much hand washing and cleaning I did. However, it isn't just isolated to being around kids. I always seem to get sick after airplane trips, which I attribute to breathing in recirculated air, a.k.a. recirculated germs. To try to improve my health, I carry hand sanitizer in my purse, anti-bacterial wipes in my car, and use chemical-free cleaners on everything. I know this may sound like overkill-trust me, friends and family have made an endless amount of jokes about it-but I have seen a noticeable difference in how infrequently I get sick now. Now you can understand why, when I heard about Halo Oral Antiseptic Spray and how well it protects against so many common germs,  I immediately wanted to try it!
Halo Oral Antiseptic Spray comes in a great 1 fl. oz. travel size spray bottle that protects against and kills 99.9% of infectious airborne germs. I like that it's small enough to toss in my purse or carry-on luggage. I can spray a little in my mouth and it gives up to 6 hours of protection. It's ideal for travel, offices, classrooms, or even public places like malls or elevators.

As I researched Halo to learn more about it, I was really impressed by what I learned. I've listed some of the facts I found directly from their manufacturer:
  • 75% of daycares, 33% of medical offices and 67% of airplanes have enough airborne viruses to infect someone in one hour.
  • On an average day, you take about 17,280 breaths-this wouldn't be an issue if we didn't spend 90% of our time indoors (in other words, there are over 17,000 opportunities a day to breathe in other people's airborne germs)
  • HaloTM Oral Antiseptic Spray is an FDA-monographed oral antiseptic
  • The results from independent scientific studies and clinical trials on Halo’s efficacy have been accepted for presentation at and publication by the Infectious Disease Society of America (IDSA) and the Interscience Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy (ICAAC), two of the leading medical societies in the United States
  • University Hospitals Case Medical Center Department of Pathology (Cleveland, OH) tested Halo against 11 strains of Whooping Cough (Bordetella pertussis), and Halo completely killed all 11 strains
  • Halo is scientifically proven to kill 99.9 percent of infectious germs, including a broad spectrum of bacteria and viruses, such as rhinovirus (the virus that causes the common cold), influenza and H1N1.
  • Halo Children's (for children age 2 and up) is available in a great tasting grape flavor.
  • Adults have the option of Halo in berry or citrus flavors
  • Halo is alcohol, dye and sugar-free

The berry flavor tastes delicious! I've used it before going into my office building and elevator so far. However, the biggest test will be using it on my airline trip this week. If I can make it round trip without catching a some kind of cold/virus, I will be impressed!

Halo Oral Antiseptic Spray is available in the cough and cold aisle at Target, CVS, Rite Aid, Walmart, Kmart, and many other mass market and drug stores.

  1. Here's my "Halo Story" -- So I just got a lot of dental work done and I had to be pre-medicated with antibiotics due to a bacteria infection in my heart. I will be on antibiotics for a long time and my mouth open to bacteria for even longer, having this halo spray would be just 1 more defense system to help my body fight off any bacteria should it attempt to enter my body through my mouth! It sounds MUCH better than the alternative anti-sceptic mouthwash my dentist has recommended!

  3. My halo moment is that it seems like every time I take my son to the doctor for a checkup he gets sick. Last week we went for his checkup, kids were coughing in the waiting room and we both ended up getting sick :(

  47. GFC follower. Kristie Donelson. I could use Halo because I have "Halo Moments" every day. I work in a public library and it just amazes me that parents will keep a kid child home from school, but take them to the library. What's up with that? Thanks for all the germs. Sigh. kristiedonelson(at)gmail(dot)com Thank you.
