Only Bees Die: Peace Corps Eastern Europe

I just finished reading the book called Only Bees Die: Peace Corps Eastern Europe. I found this memoir to be a page turner! I would have to agree with the five star rating it received on Amazon.com. The book was recommended to me and having lived in Europe for a year, I felt like the author was describing some of my exact travel experiences! What I like best is that you can tell it is a completely (sometimes brutally) honest recount of the ups and downs of living in a developing country. It describes how Peace Corps work does or doesn't come to fruition and adds lots of great personal experiences trying to adjust to social life in a foreign country. I found myself laughing out loud quite a bit at the interesting "inventions" and situations that came of trying to survive without the day to day conveniences we rarely think twice about. I imagine this book would definitely be helpful for Peace Corps volunteers no matter their country assignment, but even more, I think it's just plain entertaining for anyone who likes a good book!

Check it out:
Only Bees Die: A Memoir of Peace Corps Eastern Europe is available on Amazon.com as a paperback or a downloadable version through their Amazon Kindle Store for $2.99.
