Chloraceptic Warming Sore Throat Lozenges & Ludens Throat Drops

Every summer I can guarantee that I'm going to get at least one full-blown cold. I always end up running to the store to grab some lozenges to make it through until I've shaken the germs. I'm sure I'm not alone in this, so I thought a throat lozenge review of two brands I prefer would be helpful.

Chloraceptic Warming Sore Throat Lozenges:  I've always been a big fan of Chloraceptic products when I'm sick, especially the throat spray. Now they have a new line of lozenges to relieve throat pain that taste really good! The Chloraseptic Warming Sore Throat Lozenges, which come in Green Tea and Honey Lemon flavors are really flavorful. I especially love the Green Tea flavor because it really tastes like a cup of tea! In addition to the warming ingredients and the real honey, they also added benzocaine to the lozenges. For those of you who don't know, that's the ingredient which helps numb the pain and give your temporary relief when your throat is irritated. It helps me get through the day without noticing the pain as much. I was happy to see that the price was super reasonable, with an 18-ct package only costing $3.99. I've seen these lozenges at nearly every major retailer, but you can always visit their website at for more information.

Luden's Vitamin-Enriched Lozenges: If you're like my husband, you found Luden's so good as a child that you used to eat them as candy when you were sick! How could you blame him though? Not only do they work well to soothe dry, scratchy throats, they taste so good in the process! I have always loved the Wild Cherry flavor, but now they've expanded the line to include a new Orange flavor made with real orange juice and enriched with 100% of the recommended daily value of Vitamin C. If you're looking for other flavors, they also make Sugar-Free Wild Cherry, Wild Honey, Wild Berry and more. The Wild Berry are my favorite. Talk about a great price point, the 14 ct. packs are a suggested retail price of only $0.99 and the bags of individually wrapped drops are $1.79. Just like the Chloraseptic lozenges, these Luden's are easy to find at most major retailers, but you can find more information at
